Disaster Preparedness Workshop

September 28 | 6:00–9:00 PM | 1724 Broadway, Boulder, CO

Most households find out what they're missing during the emergency, not before. This workshop walks you through the gaps in advance, while you still have time to close them.

Over three hours, you'll build a go bag, learn the hazards specific to the Front Range and your neighborhood, and get a working framework for assessing your household's risk. We'll cover how to sign up for Wireless Emergency Alerts and Everbridge so you're not relying on word of mouth when something happens, and walk through evacuation planning — routes, triggers, what to grab, who to call.

You'll leave with a go bag started, an introductory household risk assessment, and an emergency communication plan you've actually written down.

Led by:
Henry Mitchell, M.S. in Disaster Preparedness and BioSecurity, career Emergency Manager and disaster planner, founder of World Aware.
Miranda Clendenning, resilience trainer and community builder.

$111 per person/household
Seats capped at 55.
